3 How We Process Your Images

When you upload an image, it is loaded into your browser's memory using the FileReader API. The image is drawn onto an HTML5 <canvas> element, processed locally, and the result is exported back to your device. The processed image is never transmitted over the network.

When you close the browser tab or navigate away, all image data in memory is automatically cleared by the browser.

4 Cookies & Local Storage

iConvertImg uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to save your preferences locally on your device. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. These preferences include:

• Theme preference — light or dark mode
• Language preference — your selected interface language
• Cookie consent — whether you have accepted this notice
• Conversion history — a local log of your recent conversions (filenames and metadata only, not image content)
• Conversion statistics — total images converted and space saved (local counters)

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage, or by using your browser's developer tools.

5 Analytics & Advertising

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our service is used in aggregate. This helps us improve features and performance. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location (country-level). No personally identifiable information is linked to analytics data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

iConvertImg displays advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the service free. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings or visit aboutads.info.
